Medicare Supplement rate adjustment for 2009
Asuris Northwest Health will increase rates on all standard Medicare Supplement products for 2009. While we are constantly looking at ways to direct rate dollars toward the cost of care for our members, this increase is necessary to meet the rising cost of claims expenses associated with the services and benefits provided under the plans.
These changes, which have been approved by the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner, will take effect March 1, 2009. We will send letters to impacted members starting Jan. 23.
