New Quick Search makes provider search easier and more effective
In our ongoing effort to enhance our member's experience with the Provider Search tool—one of the most popular resources on myAsuris.com—a new and improved Quick Search tool was launched on Sept. 20, 2009.
The improvements to Quick Search ensure more relevant and smarter results, which save our members time and effort when searching for a provider.
Enhancements include:
- More relevant search results based on three elements: name, location and specialty (only one must be filled in for a search)
- Name matching (for example searching for "Bill" will also search for "William")
- Ability to select the starting point for a search, which allows members to find a provider where they need one—whether on vacation or for a child away at college
- Specialty synonyms to recognize misspellings and layman's terms (for example, entering "foot" will bring up "podiatrists")
- A type-as-you-go feature to auto-fill the Specialty field
- Continued ability to see cost metric (network) and enhanced provider profile features, such as accepting new patients, philosophy of care, demographics and more
- Ability to Sort, Filter and Compare providers
Enhanced Quick Search makes it easy to find the right provider the first time. When members find the right provider, they are more likely to have an effective doctor-patient encounter that not only saves time and money but potentially contributes - better outcomes.
