Letter from Scott Kreiling
In 2007 we set an ambitious goal of helping members choose generics over brand-name medications. To do that, we conducted a variety of activities to get the message out that generics are safe and effective while providing the best value. As a testament to this work, members chose generics 66.2% of the time last year. This increase marks the changing perspectives and increasing consumer confidence in the quality of generics. And, it's a positive signal from the perspective of stretching the health care dollar.
To support the ongoing messaging about generics, we've developed two flyers that you can share with your clients: Understanding the MAC A Policy and Prilosec OTC™.
