Smoothing the way for Individual applications
There are a few simple things you can do to make the Individual application process faster for your clients.
- Make sure the SHQ is complete. If your client has an exception, make sure they submit supporting documentation.
- Make sure your client signs the application and the SHQ. Applicants age 18 or older must sign for themselves.
- Make sure that Section 6—information about prior coverage—is complete.
Also, don't forget that the SHQ was updated for April 1 effective dates. We anticipate that the online SHQ will be available soon.
