| Community Collaboratives
Asuris Northwest Health makes quality measures available on a community basis by partnering with community collaboratives. Community collaboratives are organizations that bring data from broad sources together to create quality performance measures that can be used by all in the community.
By providing useful quality and cost information to our members, we are creating a culture where patients learn to access and experience value in health care.
Asuris decided to pursue this strategy for many different reasons, including:
- Learning is shared
- Duplication is minimized
- The combined results are greater
- Access to national support/external resources may be more readily available
Asuris has provided education to the Employers’ Health Care Coalition of Idaho regarding community collaborative efforts such as the Puget Sound Helath Alliance and the Health Care Quality Corporation. The Employers’ Health Care Coalition has created the Idaho Collaborative for Health Quality, has engaged a consultant to bring community stakeholders to the organization, and is working to gain the support of the Idaho Governor’s Health Quality Commission. Asuris supports these efforts and serves on the steering committee for the Idaho Collaborative.
