Drugs covered on a pharmacy plan (formulary)

You will find a list of covered medications, or a formulary, on OmedaRx (see also the Formulary links on this page). The formulary is a list of generic, brand name and specialty medications that are approved by an independent committee of doctors and pharmacists.

To find out which formulary applies to your health plan, sign in and select the Benefits & coverage page in the Member dashboard menu. Your benefit booklet or summary of benefits and coverage can supply this information.

OptumRx offers tools to help you manage your prescription needs and will ship medicines directly to you. To get started with mail order today, visit OptumRx.com. To register, use your name and nine-digit Asuris member ID  as it appears on your member ID card (include only numbers, no letters). Or, you can call 1 (888) 437-1508 and speak to Pharmacy Services.

Specialty pharmacy: BriovaRx is our preferred specialty pharmacy. It serves only patients who take specialty medications. It offers personalized support and online and mobile tools to help patients manage their conditions. If you need a specialty pharmacy now, call Member Services at the number on the back of your member ID card.

Prior authorization (pre-authorization) of prescribed medication

Some medications require pre-authorization in order to be covered by your insurance plan. Visit OmedaRx to find out if your prescribed medication needs to be authorization before you fill your prescription.

Common prescription costs and generic medication information

You can search for the average price of common medications in the OmedaRx price guide. Generic drugs are copies of brand-name drugs that are just as effective and often less expensive. See OmedaRx.com for a list of generic medications.
